Smart Devices Central reports "'Could this be any more difficult?' That's the question that usually comes to my mind whenever I'm browsing cellular carrier sites—and, hey, I do this for a living.
Much like the old car salesman's tactic of 'protecting' his prey from the actual sale price of a car, the carriers aim to distract, confuse, and change the subject whenever it comes to data plans. You want a new smartphone? Look at all these shiny new devices. They can browse the Web, play MP3s, consolidate your e-mail, and—look—you can even watch TV on this one! And that sleek model over there is only $99."
If you though regular cellular plans were complicated, data plans can be worse. One piece of advice, get an unlimited data plan if you can afford it.

I am an existing AT&T customer. The new PDA Personal Max plans mentioned in this article are only available for new lines of service. I wanted to switch but did not have the option either with the CSR or online. FYI
