PC Magazine reports: "We've taken Microsoft to task for the company's various faults in Windows Mobile 6. But despite our qualms, it's still our Editors' Choice for the best mobile operating system. Windows Mobile has been around in one form or another for a decade, but only came into its own a few years ago, when Microsoft's policy of encouraging a wide variety of manufacturers to produce smartphones based on the OS really started to pay off. Devices like the T-Mobile SDA, Cingular 8125, and Motorola Q proved that Microsoft was capable of taking on Palm and Research in Motion."
PC Magazine reviews several Windows Mobile 6 smart phones available on the market. My personal preference is the AT&T 8925 (I enjoy mine).

I have had my Tilt for not quite a month.
I just wish I could create MP4 videos and not have to install a codec to play it.
I also would like to have a longer lasting battery. I can charge my battery overnight, only have the automatic check for my email and within 10 hours I'm down to 33% or less. I tried to find one that I could purchase but was not successful. Hopefully they will develop one soon.
This is my first smartphone. I'm so glad I got it. It was a present for my birthday/Christmas.
There are program where you can play MP4, I have been wanting to post an article about it. I will have it up in a few days.
If you want longer battery life there are 3rd party batteries that you can buy. To save battery power you can turn off the automatic syncing like you said, and you can also turn off the Bluetooth and Wi-fi if you're not using it.
For example here is a 1600M battery on Amazon. I am not recommending this one, but it is something to consider.
All you have to do is a search for something like "at&t tilt 8925 batteries longer life"
